Rick Hann, CPA
Rick Hann, is the owner of the firm. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Pittsburg State University and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Missouri. He began his career in public accounting in 1971 and has operated his firm since 1973. He provides overall direction for the firm's accounting, income tax and business consulting services.
He has served as an Advisory Director at two local banks. He is a member of the Community Board of the Servant Christian Community Foundation. He currently serves at North Heartland Community Church in several different areas of ministry.
Rick and his wife Beverly celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary this past summer. She has been an incredible blessing to him in the development and growth of the firm. Their daughter Angela graduated in May 2006 from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego with a degree in Business. She recently completed her Masters degree in Montessori Education and is currently teaching at Our Lady Montessori school in Kansas City, Kansas.
Janie Frederick, CPA
Janie Frederick joined the firm in February of 2006. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from
Avila
University in December of 2005 and subsequently acquired her CPA credentials.
Prior to joining our team, Janie worked as an independent bookkeeper servicing small businesses and churches doing bookkeeping, tax reporting payroll and other financial processes. She is a member of the Missouri Society of CPA's and the American Institute of CPA's and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Janie has been involved in the development and growth of Christian teen and adult education and service programs in various churches and other non-profit organizations in
Missouri,
Oregon and
North Carolina. She has also coordinated youth camps, theatrical productions, charity drives, church fundraisers, and music programs and has served as chaplain in hospitals and nursing centers. She and her husband Don have been married 19 years. They are currently busy raising their two young children. Janie serves on the Stewardship Council at the church she and her family attend.
Mary Lou Martin, CPA
Mary Lou joined the firm in 2009, after a 13 year hiatus from full-time employment to care for her two boys who are now 13 and 11. - After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1987, Mary Lou began her career with the Internal Revenue Service. She served in diverse capacities while there including Revenue Agent.
- Mary Lou passed the CPA exam in 1989.
- In 1995, she moved to Jacksonville, FL where she worked for a small CPA firm. She also helped to establish the first therapeutic horseback riding organization in Jacksonville.
- A move in 2000, to Kansas City to be closer to family brought several part-time opportunities.
Mary Lou loves to watch her boys play soccer and generally marvel at the development of two wonderful young men. She is active in their school, Academie Lafayette, a French-immersion charter school, and with their Youth Group at Crossroads Church of Kansas City. She enjoys reading and loves horses.
Mary Lou counts many blessings in her life, among them the opportunity to serve in this office.
Diane Dotson
Diane Dotson has recently joined the firm in a part-time capacity. She has 25 years experience in business accounting. She is also employed by
Good
Shepherd
United
Methodist
Church where she has been the Business Manager for 10 years.
Diane's husband, Kevin, is a real estate agent and also rehabs houses. They have three sons, a daughter and three dogs. Their daughter and oldest son attend college in
Warrensburg,
MO. The younger two sons are both attending colleges on baseball scholarships. They are both striving to be professional baseball players.
In addition to spending time with her family and attending baseball games, Diane enjoys photography and boating.
Linda Dobbs
Linda has been with the firm since 1999. With her degree in Business Education, she has been blessed to serve in various business positions prior to raising her children. She also owned and managed a local answering service for many years.
She and her husband Charles have three children, two sons and a daughter. They have three beautiful grandchildren they delight in spending time with. Much of their spare time currently is devoted to ministering in their local neighborhood organization.
Her husband is retired and has a custom woodworking shop. He makes custom furniture and other wood items to order.
Rebecca Roach
Rebecca joined our firm in August 2008. She has 25 years of various administrative experience and has a degree in Information/Word Processing with an emphasis in Business Management.
She and her husband Ray have been married for 16 years and have been blessed with two healthy sons, Malachi & Nathan.
Rebecca is a member of Englewood Assembly of God Church in
Independence. She is involved in her church's prayer chain, married couples and usher ministry. Her hobbies include scrapbooking and traveling with her family.
